In a Good Workplace, Joy Lights the Way for Success

The excitement around LumenusWorks has been building with our merger, new brand, and vision for the future. It’s been fun and energizing to share everything that’s been happening behind the scenes over the last many months. More than anything, we’re excited to help organizations cultivate a good workplace—one where people feel valued, engaged, and inspired.

Together, Leadership Luminary, Robin Eichert, and Culture Champion, Heather Gunnell, have focused deeply on making a thoughtful and strategic transition. And a big piece has been laying the foundation for a rebranded identity and purpose that will enhance the ways we serve our clients.

Our goal is to put the happy and fun back into the workplace. How? By putting humans at the center of how business is done. Together, we light the way for workplaces to welcome more:

  • Collaboration
  • Inclusion
  • Openness
  • Creativity
  • Kindness

Blending two thriving businesses into one has been a lot of work. But it’s also been an incredible opportunity to dive deeper and really engage in what it means to help organizations build stronger relationships and craft truly impactful cultures. Because at its core, a good workplace isn’t just about productivity—it’s about creating an environment where people feel connected, supported, and empowered.

The Colors

When our branding expert extraordinaire, Alicia DeCaro at Empathx Creative, called us to talk colors, it wasn’t a quick decision. Colors evoke such strong responses in all of us. And we wanted to find ones that would stir up the same feelings we cultivate in the workplace every day.

This is what we came up with:

  • Orange is a dynamic color symbolizing optimism, happiness, warmth, fun, welcoming, liveliness, joyfulness, and cheerfulness. Who couldn’t use more of that?
  • Goldenrod is the picture of optimism, bringing in shades of positivity, humor, energy, mental clarity, enthusiasm, and creativity.
  • And a rich grey is for security, reliability, composure, and dignity.

We chose these colors with intention, and it’s amazing to see them reflect the energy and vision we’re bringing into this exciting new chapter together.

The Name

“Lumen” might sound a bit scientific, but the reason we chose it is because our work is about helping people uncover their spark. We believe everyone has their own valuable essence. And our approach brings that out for the whole team to appreciate. It’s about shining that “light from within.”

“For there is always light, if only we’re brave enough to see it. If only we’re brave enough to be it.”
—Amanda Gorman, National Youth Poet Laureate, from her poem The Hill We Climb

One of the most fascinating things about light is how it always finds its way in. Be it a crack in a door or an idea in a mind, opening up to lighter, less resistant ways of thinking eases the load and radiates a pathway for success.

When it comes to reaching new goals, usually the best journeys don’t happen in solitude. In our new name, LumenusWorks, we loved having “us” follow because of its togetherness. There isn’t a day when we aren’t astounded by what people can accomplish together in the workplace. A good workplace is one where collaboration fuels innovation, and everyone thrives.

And then, of course, we chose “Works” because it’s not only about the workplace but the idea that when we do this work together, it works.

That’s why our aim is to strengthen team relationships in ways that make work lighter and more joyful. Because the effect is more efficient, authentic, and positive environments for all. Light—it changes everything. Let yours shine.
